This morning on our way south to Bolton Abbey, we chose one lane, winding country roads through tiny villages, past exquisite rock walls surrounding grazing sheep, over hill tops and through deep valleys... and 2 hours (yes, 2 hours when one semi-crawls along farm roads) later, we arrived at Bolton Abbey.
Amazing ruins & Priory Church (a separate blog entry) from the 1100's.
First off, I'll post a photo that shows the acceptance of dogs in the Yorkshire!
